A4A Pet Pantry provides monthly pet food distributions for qualifying families in Jefferson County, MO. Here's everything you need to know.

Are You Eligible?

Our pet food pantry is open to families in Jefferson County, MO who are facing financial hardship. To receive assistance, you'll need to bring the following items to distribution day:

📋 Identification

  • Picture ID with your current address
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

📄 Proof of Financial Need

One of the following:

  • Social Security award letter
  • Medicaid card
  • Food stamp / SNAP benefits card or letter
  • Unemployment documentation
  • Disability award letter
  • Referral letter from a social worker or assistance agency

✂️ Proof of Spay/Neuter

  • Written proof of spay/neuter is required within 30 days of your first visit
  • If you haven't spayed/neutered your pet yet, we can connect you with Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic for affordable assistance
💡 First time? Don't worry — just bring your ID and proof of need. We'll walk you through the rest and help you get set up with spay/neuter resources if needed.

Distribution Dates & Location

Pet food distribution takes place on the 3rd Saturday of each month, 10am to 12pm only. Please plan to arrive within this window.

What to Expect on Distribution Day

  1. Arrive at 1230 Commercial Blvd, Herculaneum between 10am and 12pm. Please don't arrive before 10am — our volunteers set up during that time.
  2. Bring your documentation — picture ID with current address, proof of financial need, and proof of spay/neuter (or a plan to get it within 30 days if it's your first visit).
  3. Check in with our volunteers. They'll verify your information and get you set up in our system. New visitors are always welcome!
  4. Receive your pet food. We provide food based on availability and the size/number of your pets. We carry a variety of dog and cat food options.
  5. Ask questions! Our volunteers are here to help. If you have questions about spay/neuter, adoption, TNR, or other resources — please ask.
